August 6th 2015, Members of the Branford Fire Department - Local 2533, East Haven Fire Department & the New York City Fire Department's honor guards including New Haven Emerald Society and the F.D.N.Y. Pipe band as well as many other volunteers and delegates welcomed PATH car 745 into its new home at the East Haven Trolley Museum. The significance of PATH car 745 was that during the 9\11 attacks this train was underneath\inside the WTC station. Months later PATH 745 was found under 75 feet of rubble almost unscathed. One of the dignitaries who spoke said this was a symbol of the people, the people who risked their own lives to help the lives of others. The PATH car can be found on display at East Haven Trolley Museum untouched since the day it was pulled out of the WTC station in 2001. It was an honor and privilege to help welcome this piece of history into its final display spot.
